About the Art:
This began life as a most unlikely corner of the universe, so strange, so commonplace, and yet so unique.
It was Valentine’s Day, 2019 and a big rainstorm had just finished when my love and I went on a walk. Off to the side of our path their was a construction wire fence, covered by thin and cheap linen to protect the eyes of passerbys from what laid beyond. But the rain had brought with it mud, and the wind had brought contortion to the surface of the linen. These combined to make what I consider the perfect subject for my obsessive kind of photography, an abstract mess created by nature that no one but me seems to slow down to observe, let alone photograph, let alone use as the source of wild digital art for t-shirts, posters and crystal grids.
But it didn’t stop there, as this was from a period I was becoming more confident in my forays into geometric drawing and sacred geometry as a field of study and wonder. While a silver-voiced forest goddess sang her song at the local open mic, I pushed pulled and prodded new art to come from my glitch by adding these black and white lines to the mix, framing a composition I found pleasing and calling it “The Moon in Time”.
Years later, as I worked to create this Portal collection, I returned to this moon and created this portal, along with several other variations, and the geometry stands out as well as the feathery glitch lines that no doubt were dirt splotches from that rainy day Valentine’s.
About the Portals Collection:
Each piece in the Portals collection is a representation of an energy from the real world transformed into a healing image. They each represent the end of a long road representing the integration of higher dimensions into my life. This collection has been created to uplift others on a daily basis and energize their spaces with higher dimensional energy, specifically those who want to integrate spiritual and psychedelic experiences and focus on the presence of magic in the everyday world.
